Synopsis

In the late 1980s, a rebellious Indian-American teenager’s life is upended when his family moves from Wisconsin to India. Torn from his friends, girlfriend and dreams of an American future, Vikram Mistry struggles to find his place in a country that should feel like home but doesn’t.

As new friendships, love and family upheaval reshape his world, he must reconcile his cultural roots with his desire to forge his own identity—and reclaim the future he thought he’d lost.
